The students at The Lane have the opportunity to participate in one of two statewide children’s choice book awards.
Students in grade kindergarten through third are encouraged to participate in the Monarch Award: Illinois’ K-3 Readers’ Choice Award. Students must read at least five books from the list of twenty nominated books. Voting takes place near the end of February.
