Dear Parents,

     ISAT testing is in March, and we are trying our best to prepare your children for these tests, so that they do not feel overwhelmed when testing time begins. So far, we have spent some time reviewing a variety of math concepts, reading strategies & skills, and we have continued to work hard on their writing skills. Please be sure to ask your child about what they are doing in school each day! We would also appreciate it if you could avoid scheduling appointments or vacation during the week of ISAT testing, March 5-9th. It makes testing more comfortable for all of the students if they are able to take the test with the whole class during our scheduled testing time.

     With spring break around the corner, please remember to contact the office for a prearranged absence form if you are planning on extending your vacation. The week before break is a testing week for Language Arts. If your child is going to be gone at any time during that week, we would ask that you/they make arrangements to take these tests, the vocabulary and the skills test, ahead of your vacation. We have found that the kids are much more successful on these tests when they take it before break, and not after. Plus, they get to then relax on their trips and don’t have tests hanging over their heads. :)
