                About Ms. Kral
               Student Teacher

Education: I am currently pursuing my bachelors of science in Art Education with a focus in studio painting from Illinois State University.

Teaching Experience: During my time at Illinois State I have been able to gain many valuable teaching experiences. I taught Saturday Creative Arts classes at the University over a 5 week period where I worked with students ranging from Kindergarten through 8th grade. I’ve also participated in the Illinois Elementary School Association Art Workshop, as well as the Heart of Illinois Conference Art Workshop working with high schoolers from around the Bloomington-Normal community. In Bloomington-Normal I also volunteered at the local Boys and Girls club where I assisted in their weekly art lesson. This past summer I was given the opportunity to teach mural painting at Riverside-Brookfield High School. At the two week “mural camp” I focused on teaching new painting techniques to incoming freshmen students that culminated in creating a community mural.

Favorite Color: Turquoise!

Favorite Artist: Alphonse Mucha or J.M.W Turner , but my mind changes all the time as I discover new artists!

Favorite Medium: I really appreciate all of the different forms art comes in, but I have personally always loved to painting and drawing. My favorite medium right now is watercolor.
